Mix with the Masters seminar with Mixing Legend Al Schmitt and Steve Genewick
Albert Harry Schmitt (April 17, 1930 – April 26, 2021) was an American recording engineer and record producer. He won over twenty Grammy Awards for his work with Henry Mancini, Steely Dan, George Benson, Toto, Natalie Cole, Quincy Jones, and Frank Sinatra. He also won 2 Latin Grammys, and a Trustees Grammy for Lifetime Achievement.
Mix with the Masters is held yearly in the studio "La Fabrique" near Avignon, France. A-class mixing engineers from all over the world are invited to hold classes with students. I was very honoured to have been accepted to the seminar. Al was a truly wonderful person, who was absolutely open and very generous with his knowledge and experience.
